Privacy Policy
The short version: Shiny requires a Lotlsoft account. We store your points data securely and you control who can see it.

What We Store
When you use Shiny, we store:
- Points Balance - Your current points total for each tracker
- Transaction History - Record of points earned and spent
- Relationships - Named groups containing trackers and members
- Member Access - Who you've invited to view or propose transactions
Member Access
You can invite others to join your relationships. Members can:
- View tracker balances and history
- Propose new transactions (requires your approval)
Members cannot:
- Approve their own proposals
- Access your account settings
- See your email or personal details
You can remove members at any time from relationship settings.
Safety and Consent
Shiny is built for mutual fun. We include several safety features:
- Informed consent: When accepting an invite, you see what the relationship involves and must explicitly confirm before joining.
- Periodic check-ins: Members are periodically asked "Is this still fun?" with easy options to continue, take a break, or leave.
- Freedom to leave: Any member can leave any relationship at any time from the Members tab.
- Data export and deletion: You can export or delete all your data from Settings at any time.

Push Notifications (Optional)
If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to send you updates. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
Local Storage
Some data is stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers:
- preferences - UI settings and display preferences
You can clear this data anytime through your browser settings.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking. We use localStorage to save preferences and sessionStorage during the sign-in process.
Analytics
We use our own privacy-focused analytics (Lotl Observe) to collect minimal anonymous usage data:
- Page views - Which pages are visited (no personal data)
- Anonymous identifiers - A random visitor ID to count unique visitors (not linked to your identity)
- Error reports - Technical errors for debugging (no personal data)
We do not use third-party analytics services like Google Analytics.
Third Parties
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. See the Lotlsoft Privacy Policy for details about infrastructure.
Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data (view within the app or export from account settings)
- Correct your data (update profile in account settings)
- Delete your data (from within the app)
- Withdraw consent (sign out and stop using the service)
